I am re-doing the electric fan on my '91 XJS. The first time it did not perform adequately. This time round I am modifying the shroud a little bit. I think that the fan must be fitted to the shroud in such a way that the fan sucks air from the entire shrouded area, not just the circle beneath the fan. I will report success factors when I get it to maintain a constant 180 F at ALL times. If the car NEVER gets above 180 F, it should NEVER have to worry too much about post shut down cooling.
