Thanks to everyone who replied to my inquiry about the Hess and Eisenhardt model. Interestingly enough I didn't hear from a single H+E owner one way or the other and pretty much have concluded that the later "factory convertibles" are the better option. I haven't ruled this particular H+E model out yet as it is in excellent conditon in and out but have driven a few other models (I particularly like the 1995 model but don't wany to sell my E-Type in order to be able to afford one). What I have noticed with all other models I have driven ranging from 1989-1992 is that they all have a "shimmy" in the steering wheel, my father's 1889 XJ-S coupe does not. Does anyone know if there is a common problem to these models causing this shimmy? Sorry for the long post. Thanks, Randy Fox Follow-Ups:
