I don't have my Paul Skellers book on XJ-S here at work, I think it will let you know what year the tire sizes changed fron 215/70R15 to 235/60R15. Both tires are the same height (the 325/60 is very slightly smaller but after a little wear, they would be the same, but being a 60 series tire there is not as much sidewall flex so your ride height may be a little higher). The 235 is wider then the 215. I recently went to the 235/60R15 on my 88 & am very happy with the ride & handling. If the shop tells you that the 235/60 would be too small, have them look up the size of both. The diffrence is negliable. If you have access to someplace where you buy tires off the rack, pay then get them mounted (like Sam's club in the USA) & still do noy buy my garbage here, pull one of each off the rack & compare side by side.
