The price quoted took my breath away! 1. How complex is this job? 2. Will anything bad happen if I defer this repair for awhile? The leaks aren't too bad yet but some oil is getting on the exhaust manifold. 3. Are there any competent Jag mechanics in the Houston, TX area that I can get a second opinion from? 4. Is there a sealer that might do the job temporarily or permanently without need for gasket replacement? 5. What prices for fixes have other list members experienced for cam cover and center valley gaskets and what have been your experiences? Any advice or help I can get from the list members will be greatly appreciated! Thanks. David Elizalde >> David The Motor Import labor manual list 9 hours for R&L camcover gaskets. The Valley cover takes about 4 hours off and on as you must remove the dist, and move aside the AC compressor. Not hard, just time consuming. No cheap fix . Mop up the drips and live with it or pay the man his money! Follow-Ups:
