We never learned the details, but I suspect that it something to do with prying and breaking something seriously expensive. Not having ever had to try to get the heads off an XJ-S, I am in no position to give any advice. I just want to raise a flag that it appears to be possible to do something really serious, even if you are an "experienced" dealer mechanic. Follow-Ups:
