Heh - one of the rules I go by is that the harder it is to replace
something, the more imperative it is that you replace it with a quality
component. I value my time too much - and repeating tedious jobs isn't my
idea of cost efficiency - even if the original "cheaper" one comes with a
warranty - *I* amd the one stuck doing the re-work.

If doing this conversion for the first time, I'd probably put in a NEW
unit, then put off worrying about the quality of it for some time. Not
that rebuild components can't be just as good or (with improvements - like
stainless sleeves on master cylinders, or up-spec'd components) even better
than an original, just when something goes wrong, I'd rather think it was
because of something I did wrong, not because I got a rebuild from someone
who was eager to break a "most rebuilds in an hour" record.

Unfortunatley, he will be - there's lots of people to be first-time customers.
