I would take a VOM to the battery and to the alternator to see exactly whats going on. Probably wiring or gauge. I have found that in that type of situation go directly to the source, otherwise you go in some crazy direction you really did not need to go. ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: [xj-s] Alternator lights, what do they mean? Author: Jim Isbell <jisbelljr@mail.utexas.edu> at Internet Date: 7/6/98 11:00 AM I was driving to work this morning when I noticed the voltmeter indicating 12 volts. i.e.NO charging! But the red lights on the dash had dutifuly gone out after cranking the engine, indicating that all was well. Whats wrong that could cause no charge, but the red lights out?
