While I don't have a copy in my files, I'm pretty certain that Jaguar
issued a service bulletin allowing the use of ATF in XJ40s which had
been converted (and which do not use the mineral oil for brake boost,
i.e. not '88-89 cars)

Our former Jaguar master tech indicated to me that such a bulletin was
issued and that he had done this mineral oil to ATF conversion on a
number of cars on which the SLS had been removed.
