[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Inductive Engine Analyzer Questions...
Hi, I just purchase a kit that contains a timing light a vacumn/pressure gauge and a Inductive Engine Analyzer. I have never used any of these tools before. I figure that if I want to get to know my car I might as well learn. So my question is how do I use the Analyzer. The instructions are for a number of vehicles such as GMC, FORD, CHEVY etc... What is the Induction Engine Analyzer you ask? It is a box that allows me to check the Volts, Dwell, RPM and OHMS. There are three wires coming off of it. One Red clip. one Black clip and a unit to connect to a spark plug wire. The problem is that since my car is 83 XJ6 I am not quite sure where I am supposed to be placing these connectors. Hell I am not even sure if my car is has Electronic Ignition. I truly am an amature at this. If anyone does their own timing and analysis can you help me out. Thanks Steve.
