We may have multiple jags, some >standard, some not, but we're still frowned upon. When guys like Jim >have a shot at lumps, and be-little them, you can't really respond >back in kind, cause you'll always get shot down by the anti-lump lobby on >this list.....just accept that the car is a lump, hold your chin up, and >don't give a shit what guys like Jim think. He has his opinions, and you >have yours.....live and let live.....you know your car is great, so why >care what others think ? > OK, another Tom with 2 bit's worth. Chum bought what they all call "LUMP". It is a very nice California conversion, but while I was there he showed me a book which had an article on a UK company doing conversions. They are full UK MOT certified, and proudly put a Corvette Crossed Flag Emblem right with the Jag emblem on the fender. Personally I feel that the Jag engine is the best in the world, but there have been a lot of strange factory things. Sunbeam Tiger comes to mind immediately. Probably would have been a winner but it had a Ford V8 and that was the year Chrysler bought out Rootes... Brother in law put a Vette engine in a School Bus. Used it for a camper. Sucker went like stink too! Personally, not for me. But if I did I would also put the Vette emblems on it right along with the Jag, to tell the purists! Tom in British Columbia, too old for a mistress and too young for a nurse.....
