Is it normal to have oil dripping >from it? >Thanks for your help on this one. There's supposed to be a vacuum cap on it, plugged off. You're getting oil in to the intake system. There is two places this can come in. One is through the intake valve guides. Since the it's an "updraft" intake manifold, oil that gets in would tend to puddle in the bottom back. This would also cause a substancial amount of oil to stand on the back of the intake valves. *Lots* of blue smoke on startup, and probable fouled spark plugs. This isn't that liekly. The more probable cause is the oil is coming in through the breather system. This can be caused by the breather screen getting clogged up. Or, the rings are shot.
