Yes, its a common problem,... in poorly maintained XJS and XJ6. Thje causes are plugged drains in the front vent in front of the windshield. Cloged drains in the AC system. And leaky windshield gasket. All of these are COMMON problems and Jag owners have to be on their toes to prevent them and cure them when found. I have seen very few Jags that didnt have a little rust in the front wheel wells, especialy the XJS Jim "Life is tough, its tougher if you are stupid."
