i have been using m1 oil for about 5 years in a total of 20 or so vehciles including my boat, snow thrower, air compressor, {and even my computer if it would let me}. any how, to date i have had no breakdowns of any sort. i have had service trucks that i could never go over 100k miles without some sort of vale tap, oil burning, knocking etc. now i have several vehjicles with over 168k and they do not smoke, burn oi, tap, etc. some of these vehicles were started on m1 at over 80k, some from new. i can only speak from my personal experience. i would not change. am a believer. also, i do my oil chagnges at 7500 miles and an oil fil ter at the same time. my engine builder that recently rebuilt my healey bugeye engine and my 70 e type engine, said not to use m1 for several thousand miles because the oil is so slick that the reings would noat seat. sounds ok but why does chevy corvette and porsche use m1 from new a t the factory without these same sea ting problems. i will call m1 hotline and find out. if only m1 was low in saturated fats and tasted a little better i would use it in my salads. dan from nj usa 60 bugeye 70 e type 87 560 sl mb 95 c220 mb 87 s-10 pu chevy truck 92 explorer
