[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] RE: meine Kelpie saw an XK8
Towser, my Australian Kelpie, isn't allowed in my XJS but we do have plenty of room in the back of my wifes Rangie (sorry "Range Rover"). I would love to have an XK8 as a daily driver and keep my XJS for special occasions and also keep the Rangie for Towser (and my 4 kids) except I cant afford the AUD$212,000 that is required for an XK8 in Australia. (you Americans only need 79 cents to by one of our dollars) Seriously though, I have grown to love the shape of the XK8 coupe, it may take a little longer for the convertible to impress me as much. I think what we all must realise is that it's a totally different market nowdays since the E-type left its mark and if your'e in the $200,000 market then then the Jag is about the best you will get (new) but I doubt you'll feel the same as those who bought a brand new E-type in the 60's. By the way, the Australian press are divided between the "all new Jaguar that is a world beater" and the "reskinned XJS". It goes to show that journalists the world over are journalists "coz they aint no good at nothin else" Looking forward to waving to an XK8 from my XJS.......If and when, I'll post the response. Of course a German Shepard would have a hard time in the back of Jag (they prefer Bimmers) ... better off with a Brittany Spaniel, or perhaps a Kentish pooch!
