Thanks to all who responded directly and through the list on my question regarding the fuel filler flap on my XJ40. The consensus seems to be that the flap, when depressed, should pop up far enough to be opened by hand (I wasn't sure if I was missing a spring that would open it all the way). My problem seems to be one of miss-alignment: the pin on the flap is binding in the lock shaft. I will have to carefully bend the flap hinge to get it properly positioned. -- --Pete Crosby '88 XJ40 pac@atl.hp.com
