My experiences with Mobil 1 5W-50 CCMC G5: - Engine: '86 XK six 4.2 - Mileage of engine: 181,000 Km (~113,000 miles), never rebuilt - Oil pressure: Same as before or maybe a little better (300-350 Kpa at idle, warm engine) - Leaks from engine: Less than before - Engine oil burning: Little or none that I can see - Appearance of oil after a few thousand Kms: Like brand new But the thing I like best is the fact that even on cold Norwegian mornings the oil pressure is there as soon as the engine starts cranking. I'm going to follow Kirby's advice and change the oil at recommended intervals using Mobil 1 oil. Altogether, why I decided on using >synthetic oil at recommended intervals -- that's cutting it in half, then >doubling it again.
