[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Mk2 starter
I am trying to swap an automatic for a manual transmission in a 65 Mk2 I have have both starters, although the field coil and housing from the manual car (a 63) has been beld together with duck tape! Parts manual says the field coil (and I assume the housing) are the same for both manual and automatic (at least they give the same part number). Can I place the armature and drive pinion from the manual transmission starter into the housing for the automatic and not get smoke or funny noises, if I every get this automobile back together? george leicht glite@eos.net
