They come in a couple of designs, to suit the lock being opened. We used to make our own. Years ago, when I was a professional mechanic, I used to keep several on hand. Customers and service writers were constantly locking the keys in the car when it was left for service. We often worked on the State Police cars from the local police barracks, and I often won coke money from the troopers by betting them I could unlock their car faster with a slim jim than they could with their keys. They had to start with the keys in their pocket, while I started with the slim jim in my back pocket. By the time they got the key ring out, found the right key, got it oriented correctly and into the slot I was usually sitting in the car. Customers were always happy we unlocked the car for them and unhappy that it was so easy! ----------------------------------------------------------- Mike Cogswell mcogswel@mnsinc.com '74 E-Type OTS '88 XJ-S Convertible (Hess&Eisenhardt) ----------------------------------------------------------- References:
