National domain codes.

A couple of days ago a correspondent to the list asked in what country
another was living, as he did not recognise the national domain code of
"ar". This is Argentina.

National domain codes often form the last two letters of an email address
or a site location (URL). The national domain codes indicate where the
internet service provider (ISP) is located, so if an individual uses an ISP
in another country (as sometimes happens in Europe), it will appear as
though they are located in that country.

Most ISP in the United States and Canada do not use national domain codes,
and some ISP in other countries may omit them.

So that users of the list can identify where some of the correspondents may
be coming from, the following list of national domain codes is posted for
everyone's information. Although it is not Jaguar related (I own a 1950
Mk.V and a 1995 XJ6), I hope that many will find it of benefit and
interest.
