One thing that can be done to ease starts is to cycle the key on for
3 to 4 seconds and off again, repeat this 5 or 6 times. The purpose?
The computer runs the fuel pump for 2 seconds to pump fresh fuel
into the fuel rail before the engine starts, if the cycle is repeated
you are insured there is plenty of fuel for a quicker start. This
assumes there are no problems with the fuel system or the ECU. I do
this myself after I have replaced the fuel filter or had the fuel
system open for any reason. On one car I worked on awhile back I
wired a small low current indicator lamp in parallel with the fuel
pump wires so the owner could see when the fuel pump had current.

This can also greatly extend the life of the starter on a hard to
start car. Cold or hot.
