That was exactly their argument.  I'm sorry, but I don't believe in 
such coincidental events.  That dealer had the car for 4 weeks.  They 
massively invaded the vehicle to diagnose the problem, replace the transmission, etc.  I found rubber washers, an oil rag, and a loose screw 
(I still don't know where it goes) IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.  The water reservoir was loose.  They also broke the mounting plate for my car alarm siren, and denied they did that too.  I worked on the car just before I took it in, and I KNOW these things were not that way when I took it in.

I don't know what they were doing in that part of the car, but they obviously were there, and they obviously did damage.
