My limited interaction with Jaguar dealers in the UK have been fine. I have a XJ6 SIII and usually only bother the parts people who are always friendly and pay no mind to me having long hair, ripped jeans, etc. On occasion when my wife is with me, she will drag me into the sales room to ogle the XK8 and the sales people are very curteous even when I turn up in the old Renault. Special credit goes to the Carlisle dealership, County Motors. On our way up to Scotland at newyear, I had serious alternator problems, eventualy shedding the belt entirely. It was between Xmas and newyear with only one engineer working but they managed to diagnose the problem as an incorect and mis-aligned pulley, find a second-hand pulley in the workshop and correctly align it with spacers. Allowing us to continue our holiday. The repair was prompt, efficient and only 51 quid! Having a SIII in good condition, that was commented on by the service manager, may have helped. Maybe it's just the sales people. Cosmo -- 83 XJ6 4.2L 65 Mustang 289
