Screw Finishers - XK Door PanelsHere's another detail item. The nickle plated screws used to mount the door panels on XK120/140 cars are backed by a small domed finishing washer. I have been unable to locate a source of exact duplicates of this item - has anyone else had success? - Nick Saltarelli 1954 XK120SE OTS 1968 E-type OTS I got a set with the interior kit I ordered from BAS Ltd....they send along a packet full you might give them a call, looks like the ones I took off. let me know if you need the 800 number, I'll look it up..... - David M. Drenzek The domed finishing washers you describe sound exactly like the washers under the small screws that hold my Mk IX's boot upholstery pieces on. I discovered them at my local Ace Hardware -- about 7 cents apiece; various sizes available -- just take a screw with you to match up. No JCNA judge has ever challenged these on my car, so I'm guessing they're very close to correct if not spot on. Hope this helps - Larry Martz Got your other message. For old-time trim hardware, try a good boating shop. Many of the hardware trim bits and pieces used on the older cars originated in the mahagony-and-brass boating supply (a chandelry (sp.??), I believe they were called) and I found innumerable bits available there. The tonneau 'snaps', for instance, are the same as used on some boat covers. - Larry Schear Twin Cam, Inc. Try XK's ---- They offer a screw set with cup washers and a #4 Oval head slotted screw that is used on MKII wood window rails.... - Lee Eggers What you are looking for are called finishing washers and are available through Spaenaur in Kitchener Ont. I have their catalogue. They are a good source for unusual small auto fasteners. I think I have a couple of boxes for # 6 screws. We use them for canoes and Jags. - Bill 1955 xk140 ots On the XK120 and XK140, the interiors use a number 4 oval slot and number 4 finishing washers. Most of the main Jaguar suppliers have them in their catalogs. Number 6 hardware is available at most hardware stores. - Cleo Bay XK120, XK140
