Head modifications

Head Modifications

Anyone have any plans for tested and proven porting and chamber
modifications done to jags to improve breathing? Also, does anyone have
experience with "The Home Dyno Kit"? It is supposed to calculate horsepower
and torque actually developed by your engine from online testing. Thanks -
Ian

Ian, The Jag head is already very well developed and shouldn't be modified
unless one is going racing. If you do want to P&P the head, follow standard
competition practices for the ports and don't do anything to the combustion
chambers. There are various programs around to calculate Hp from
performance and I believe some are available on the Inet Good luck. -

Thanks for the advice reguarding the head. The dyno kit I've heard about
actually fits in the car and records performance during 1/4 mile
acceleration which is then down loaded to your PC. - Ian

Ah ha! I've heard of that one but have no experience with it. I've seen
other posts today about it. Have fun and don't get pinched. "You see
officer, I'm doing engine research and development." - George Badger
