Alan Mandell - 150

Below is a photo of my "old" XK 150 prior to sale in 1976 to Mr.J. Kenesic of Wisconsin. Jerry, If you still have the car or know where it is please drop me a line and photo. Purchased the car with a bright yellow color  from a couple who brought it in from Darrien , CT. It really only needed  a good lube and oil and to have the carb dash pots filled to put it in good running condition.  Replaced  broken fluid line from clutch slave twice. Repainted the car in Mercedes Silver and painted the wheels bright silver to mimic chrome.  It had a 3.4L engine with electric overdrive.  As I remember, the instructions for the overdrive were to engage it at 90 mph in 4th gear. What a fun car!  Longest trip was to Memphis and back from Highland Park, Il.  Wonderful on the highway but LOUD.
