Bill Eastman's '58 XK 150 FHC

I have been discussing this a bit on the mailing list and thought that
pictures may help.  Here are four pictures of the areas in question.  If
you could post them on the website I would appreciate the help.

The farside and nearside pictures are photo's showing a broader view of
the issues on the respective side.  The farfit and nearfit pictures are
close ups of where the rear side light frame, door glass frame, door,
and rear body all come together.  This shows how the nearside windows
sits farther forward that the far side window to the extent that it
fouls the door.  I would be interested in opinions on which side looks
closer to what is correct so that I can adjust the fit accordingly.

Regards,
Bill Eastman

Attached are several Jpegs of my fhc project.

The two B pillar pictures show some of the repairs that have been done.
Unfortunately, the sill is now too high there and the door doesn't quite
fit the opening so I will have to adjust the body here.

The Dash1 picture shows the inner structure and also just a hint of the
original paint.  The car is almost all brown primer and light surface
rust now.  Motors1 shows the extra engines.  You can never have enough
engines!  Neardoor shows the fit of the door and also the fender/cowl
fit after the lead is removed.  Leaded shows the same fit on the other
side with the lead still present.  XKside2 and XKfront  show the body in
general.  even in its present condition it is a good looking car.
XKparts shows just how much room a car takes up when reduced to its
constituent pieces.

By the way, the photos were taken with a digital camera and a wide angle
lens.  My garage is not as big as it looks!  I also have more pictures
and still have access to the camera so if anyone wants to see something
in particular, just drop me a line.

Regards,
Bill Eastman
