Skip Testut's '67 Series 1.5 OTS. Look carefully because it is for sale!

(Story Below)

Here are shots from the recent JTC get together at Mike Frank's. Todd's '67 SI OTS was totally rust-free, since the PO had just totally redone the body. Todd got all the parts in boxes and has spent the last two years putting it together. Very nice job Todd!

After 14 years of ownership, I've decided that I have too many cars and my E-type has got to go. I know, I know, it's a sad day for me, too!! As for the particulars, the car is red with black interior, the odometer shows 63,000 miles, and it has the original 3 X SU carb set-up. This car was used as a "daily driver" from 1986 through 1997 during the late spring through late fall months, only. The body is in good shape, the chrome and upholstery, likewise, and it comes with extra parts, including a complete exhaust system. The car has run well all the years I've owned it, with the only problems I've ever experienced being typical to this type and age of car (i.e., carb leaks, chassis electronic gremlins, and the occasional seal/gasket which dries out). I'm no concours' judge and this car was not owned as such, but I would rate the car as a condition "3." I'm asking $18,500. If interested, let me know!

My 67 OTS was purchased as a professional frame-off restoration in process. The tub and bonnet had been professionally rebuilt and were in primer. The rest of the car was completely disassembled, and was scattered about the shop in boxes. While apart I farmed out having the body painted and the engine shortblock rebuilt. Over the course of the next 4 years, with the help of my Dad a retired mechanic and aircraft buff, we rebuilt and reinstalled every component. The trick here was that we hadn't taken the car apart, so putting it together was a painstaking process. Everything but the interior door panels and carpet have been completed. That's this winter's project (said that last winter too !) Around year 2 1/2 (after the birth of my son), with only Installing the electrical harness to go, (must have been lack of sleep) I came very close to selling the car on 2 occasions. I'm glad I didn't, as the car is a blast to drive... and is now a favorite of my son, who loves driving with me in the "jaguar car".
