On-Line Car Prices

Thanks to the miracles of modern technology -- and that good 'ol capitalist market economy thing -- many web sites are springing up offering free search facilities. Some of these even let you search for new and used car prices.

Since Jag-lovers is a global network the on-line services are listed below by country or region. Special thanks goes to barnesl@naswi.navy.mil for posting the North American items to the Jag-lovers list!

 

Australia

 

Trading Post On-line

The Trading Post is a weekly classified-only paper. There are several separate editions in most major urban centres around the country, and this on-line service allows you to search through any or all of them at once! Note that Trading Post On-line is not specifically an automotive classified paper: you can just as easily use their search engine to find prices on camera equipment and televisions!

 

North America

 

Auto Channel

A lavisly designed site (though somehwat less that intuitive to navigate at times, and cluttered with advertising) that is overflowing with automotive information. To save time here is the link to the used car search page.

 

Edmunds Blue Book on Cars

A good place to check out. Tons of information: road tests, safety information, and buyer's advice. Prices on new and used cars and trucks. Recall information since 1989. Loan and lease information. Even a link to J.C. Whitney's Automobile Parts and Accessories Online Catalog! Here is a shortcut to the used Jaguar listings.

 

Kelly Blue Book

This is specifically an automotive search service. You can search for new car prices and used car prices back to 1977. When checking on a price you get to specify mileage, options and equipment, transmission and even the zip code!

 

Online Auto

Not only can you search for used cars on this site, you can advertise your car online with a photo for free! Also includes insurance, lease and loan information, featured dealers, and other news.

 

Texas Mustang Sales

This suggestion is from Neil Stewart. The name might say Texas Mustang Sales but there is a whole lot of used Jaguars listed at this site...

 

Trader On-Line

Take a look at classified ads for cars, boats, planes, motor cycles, heavy equipment, big trucks and more. There is a separate section just for collector cars, too.

 

 

Europe & Asia

Here is where I really need a bit of help. I cannot find a similar service for Europe or Asia -- or anywhere else for that matter. Can anybody help me?
