Don Tracey's XK 150

Here are some photos of my XK150 roadster S830345,have been working on and off for 5 years on the machine.Last 6 months have had a retired mechanic working on it 3 days a week ,doing a marvelous job .He also had a furniture business at one stage ,so was able to trim the interior.

Have my own theories about what makes a car drivable and reliable ,so have done various modifications to suit myself. Will explain the photos ,the exterior photo shows made up bumper bar made up from Mk9 outers and mk2
inner joined under overiders.15 x 6 E type dayton wheels ,halogen globes, louvered bonnet/hood (not fitted yet,and done by PO) Engine, balanced, reckon its got enough power particularly with the speed limits and distinct lack of bravado I suffer from lately. Electronic ignition (luminition)and alternater ,  converted SU fuel pump to electronic
.Geared starter from Toyota ,thermofan on radiator ,will have to see how well rad works when we drive the car.
Interior nothing much, about only mod I have grafted gearlever off jag box onto supra box so it looks standard.
Gearbox photo shows toyota starter,Supra gearbox- Dellow's bell housing , doesn't show lightened flywheel (PO again) ,falcon pressure plate ,Toy dyna clutch plate. Brake photo  xj 4  pot caliper with falcon vented disk ,back brakes xj calipers bolt straight on the existing brackets.
