Description: Left side long damper...fits with slight interference with chain. Also note oil gallery end that is sealed by timing cover.

Description: Jack shaft, showing very slight interference with the small damper plate on the right of photo. Dot on bottom of sprocket must go to top with engine at 1A TDC. It is 180 degrees out in photo.

Description: This shows the minimal wear on long damper. Less than 1/32".

Description: Shot of chain in place. WIth new chain and new tensioner, chain is snug fit, even with tensioner retracted.

Description: Crank sprocket is a slide fit on crankshaft. This is where it must slide out to in order to R&R the chain.

Description: This is a notable view. WIth engine at 1A TDC for timing set-up, the crankshaft keyway is pointed directly at the A back camshaft. Important Safety Tip!!

Description: Finally, new chain is installed on sprocket, and THEN sprocket is tapped into place. A guide cast into the oil pump prevents chain from coming off the sprocket until sprocket is slid forward.
