Description: Overhead shot of my 4.2L XK-engine after cylinder head replacement , repainting or polishing all the metal, rebuilding the wire harnesses and wrapping them, and replacement of all hoses and gaskets.

Description: This picture shows the right side of my 4.2L XK-engine with the new aftermarket white radiator fan, metal repainted in gloss black high temperature engine paint, new hoses, new spark plug wires, polished fuel and air rails and the rebuilt and rewrapped wire harnesses.

Description: Here's the a right front view of the engine showing the repainted radiator top panel with the wrapped and rerouted wire harnesses, repainted air cleaner assembly, and the clean aluminized head shield behind the engine.

Description: This is the full front view of the engine bay showing all the cleaned up metal and wiring harnesses. Note the contrast of the gloss black high temperature engine paint and the aluminum ribs on the cam covers.

Description: This is a picutre of the engine bay from the left front, notice the contrast of the silver and black on the cam covers, the shined up exhaust manifold heat shield, and the cleaned up coolant tank.

Description: This view of the left side of the engine show the polished air and fuel rails, the cleaned red, yellow and white plastic pieces. The lavender air rail hose is OEM part. Go figure that out.

Description: The moment of truth after I pushed the car outside for the first time in 6 months. It started up the first try and ran incredibly smooth. Ignore that wet spot under the car.

Description: This was the cause of some of my engine problems, a burnt #1 exhaust valve. All the exhaust valves and some of the intake valves were leaking. I think I was running on about 4 1/2 cylinders.

Description: Another shot of the burnt #1 exhaust valve after removal and replacement by a local machine shop. All exhaust valves were replaced and all the seat and intake valves were refaced.

Description: A nice shot of my 1984 XJ6 Vanden Plas, Antelope Exterior, Doeskin Interior. Note the chrome XJS Lattice Wheels and OEM mudflaps front and rear.

Description: A shot of the interior rear seating area in my 1984 XJ6 Vanden Plas. Notice the headrests (from an 1987 donor), the reading lamp and the beautiful burl wood trim. The leather has been treated with Leatherique and is in superb shape.

Description: Thank goodness for my "reliable daily driver" during the six month engine bay restoration period. This is "my other Jaguar", a 1969 E-Type Fixed Head Coupe, British Racing Green of course!!!
