Steve Smith 1964 Jaguar S-TypePlease Click to get larger JPEG
Stephen Smith writing from New Zealand... I wrote several months ago regarding S-type Jaguars and said I'd write again once I'd got to grips with this computer stuff... well, I'm getting there! I'll send a couple of pictures of the restoration when I get them scanned - in the mean time, I'm attaching a photo of my finished product. By the way, enjoyed the 'jag-lovers' site and have also emailed the other Alastair, in Scotland. The photos of the three S-types together were brilliant. Rrecently discovered news on my S-type's history. (Apr99) The car/chassis numbers show my Jaguar was the 4th RHD S-type out of the factory - apparently making it a 1963 model No one I've contacted, so far, knows the whereabouts of the three vehicles built prior to mine (unless you know otherwise?) which, possibly, makes my 3.8S the oldest surviving example!
