Dave Gropper's 1960 Mark IX

This is my 1960 Mark IX.
It was first sold by Henly's of London to a lady in the country.
She sold it to an American building contractor who brought it to the USA.
Sold to a gentleman in Edina, Minnesota, then to another who drove it to Richland, WA where I bought it after it had been standing for several years.
Almost rust free except for surface rust on the chassis and inside the wheel spats...
The car is all original (except the tyres!) including the paint!!.
Totally un-restored it includes a small mouse hole in the rear of the headliner just by the right rear reading light!
31,000 original miles, I have it insured for regular daily driving.
I am trying to do all the work myself although I am 60, living alone except for my three kids under 12 yrs (You see why money is tight ?!) Still got a long way to go...
It will never be "restored" by me and I hope to hand it on to my kids when they become responsible enough... I never thought I would ever own a Jaguar

The 3/4 view is pretty representative of the car. The dash shot is kind of 'artsy' - I forgot to shut the sun-roof and it seems the digital camera couldn't quite handle the extreme contrast range BUT IT SURE LOOKS PRETTY and PINK ! :-)... The engine bay is 'washed out' due to the same problem...
