Another shot of Martyn and Chris Ward's '67 2+2.

"Here are two photographs, one exterior and one interior, taken when my car was nearing completion."

My wife, Jennifer and I acquired the 1969 2+2 in June 1996. We are the fifth owners. We wanted a 2+2 because we felt the car should be a family project and we have a 7 year old son, John. I have traced the car back and spoken with the second owner. The last owner had the car for 10 years and put 10,000 Miles on it. We, in contrast, put 6,500 miles on it the first 18 months we had it.

With the exception of the front seat leather, carpets, paint and engine ( a story too long for this page) the car was pretty original when we acquired it. In the past two years we have replaced the radiator, alternator, exhaust system, rebuilt the front end, rebuilt the rear end, rebuilt the brake system, and replaced the headliner. At this time the engine is being rebuilt and the engine compartment is being detailed. I hope to have her back on the road by late October 1998. The car has been a joy to drive and maintain. We have experienced the usual E-type problems, but the car has never left us stranded.

Another BEFORE shot of Martyn and Chris Ward's '67 2+2. Truly not a sight for the weak of heart. "This is what my 2+2 looked like when I bought it in September 1993.... (ex-basket case)"
