Robert J. Richardson's 1964 Series I FHC

I've owned this 1964 FHC 3.8L since 1969. Engine and transmission were rebuilt in the late 1980s in Naples, Fla. In additon to a new interior, the car recently had a major mechanical overhaul that focused on the restoration of front and rear suspensions, braking system, clutch, engine bay wiring and cooling system. My E-type is probably the only one in Southeastern Ohio (read Appalachia foothills). A respray is next on the list and should make the car at least a No.2 re value.

Steve Roush's '62 SI OTS (see below for story)

I started searching for an early E-type OTS in 1995 by getting all the books and info I could on them. Began a search in earnest in 1996, and found much misrepresentation in ads. Poor cars never sounded so good! I realized after 9 months that the moment I found a car close to what I wanted, I'd get it. This car (Feb.1962, #876753) was advertised in San Clemente, CA in Hemmings in November, 1996. I happened to be out there on business and drove down from Long Beach to see it. It drove reasonably well, had always been in Calif. and was totally rust free. I purchased it, and shipped it 2500 miles back to my home in Kentucky in late November. Five months later I was transferred to California, so the car was then shipped 2500 miles back to our new home in Huntington Beach, about 40 miles from where it started. It covered over 5000 miles on about three tanks of gas. That's great mileage!! Am taking it back to original (Driven class) condition, as it was upgraded from the early 1962 interior to the later 1964 interior.
