A History of the West Sussex Region JEC

The JAGUAR ENTHUSIASTS CLUB was formed in December 1984. Today, the club is one of the most active one-marque clubs in Britain with over 20,000 members. Indeed it is the largest Jaguar club world-wide.

Benefits on offer to members include an award winning magazine, a club insurance scheme, free technical advice and a wide range of books and accessories. The 104 page monthly club magazine Jaguar Enthusiast was voted Best Club Magazine of the Year by Classic Cars for 1992 and 1994 and won the Best Magazine Editor in 1996. In addition, it boasts full colour throughout and the largest classified advertising section of any Jaguar publication. It is packed with practical help and advice, technical articles and the latest news about Jaguar too. The club was awarded the prestigious Best Club of the Year Award in 1993. The club has over 70 Regions to enable all members to take part in Club activities and swap experiences with like-minded Jaguar Enthusiasts.

The West Sussex Region of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club has over 400 members and is one of the most active regions of the club. Details of forthcoming Regional activities can be found in the "Regional News" supplement to "Jaguar Enthusiast" magazine.

Club Meetings take place on the third Thursday of the month at Shoreham Airport, starting at 8.00pm. Usually, between 20 - 40 members attend a club night, where the emphasis is very much on enjoying and using the cars. New members along with partners are always welcome to come along. In addition to the monthly meetings throughout the year, between May and September an extensive range of events is on offer for West Sussex Region members to take their Jaguars (and Daimlers) to.
